General Info
What is an Extended Field Trip?
Campers leave for a field trip on Friday and do not return during normal camp hours. Instead, they return at an extended time of that evening. We do not provide transportation for campers, parents must pick up at camp grounds.
What is a Teen Adventure Overnighter?
Campers leave for a field trip on Thursday and do not return to camp until Friday evening.
What is a Latestay?
Latestays are an opportunity for campers (Prek to 6th grade) to experience an extended camp day with even more fun programmed activities! We do not provide transportation for campers, parents must pick up at camp grounds.

Through Word of the Week, Camp Sonshine partners with you to support your camper’s growth. Each week, we focus on a value like loyalty, kindness, or confidence, helping them build a strong foundation for life. We take pride in giving your camper the tools to succeed and grow into a better version of themselves.
Assembly
Assembly is one of the most loved parts of the Camp Sonshine experience, filled with lively songs, interactive fun, and memorable moments. It’s the perfect way for campers to unwind, laugh, and enjoy the excitement of camp together.

Sonshine Bridge
We remind campers of God’s love through our Word of the Week, connecting it to the Sonshine Bridge. Each week, campers engage in activities that reinforce important values and God’s love, exploring themes like God’s unwavering support and His love for everyone equally.
Theme of the Week
Theme of the Week adds excitement to camp with unique activities, games, and crafts based on themes like Superhero, Winter Wonderland, or Spy Week. It’s a fun way for campers to explore new skills, make memories, and bond with friends, making each week an exciting adventure!
Country of the Week
Through our Giving Tree program, campers develop global awareness and compassion by learning about different countries where Camp Sonshine exists, like South Africa, Guatemala, Jamaica, Portugal, and the Philippines. Each week features a new country with fun activities like coloring flags and writing letters to campers abroad, helping broaden horizons and inspire positive impact.
