This initiative helps campers grow on a solid foundation of values and prepare for life’s future challenges. At Camp Sonshine, we believe W.O.W. not only makes life better but it helps kids become better at life!
Latestay
Available at both our Silver Spring and Germantown locations.
Latestays are a special time on Thursdays (PreK-2nd) and Fridays (3rd-9th) of weeks 3, 5, 7, & 9 when campers can keep the fun going until 8pm. Campers participate in awesome activities and dinner is provided! Cost is $35 for PreK-4th, and cost is included in High Adventure and Teen programs.
Theme Day
Every Wednesday, Discovery (PreK–K) and Explorer (1st–2nd) campers dive into Theme Day.
One of the most anticipated days of the week! Campers participate in themed games, crafts, and activities, it’s a day full of imagination and excitement.
Giving Tree
This summer, join us in a weekly global outreach initiative called Giving Tree!
A unique opportunity for your camper to gain a global perspective and develop a compassionate heart. Our goal is to broaden their horizons, keep our problems in perspective, and gain tools to positively impact others.

GIVE
Send “spare change for a positive change”! Campers can bring letters or donations each Thursday to contribute to our Giving Tree donation buckets.

Every Wednesday, we’ll email fun resources related to our “country of the week,” including activities, recipes, and videos for your family to enjoy together!

No Set Deadline!
Our application remains open based on availability. If a program is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist during registration. Although your ledger will reflect the deposit amount, you will not be charged for any waitlisted weeks unless a spot opens up and you’re officially enrolled.
Pre-Session Reminders
As you prepare for the best summer ever, here are a few important steps to take before your camper’s session begins:

Complete all health forms through CampMinder or communicate directly with Parent Services at info@campsonshine.org.

Confirm your camper’s transportation plans by notifying Parent Services. This helps ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone.

Read your weekly pre-camp email, which includes your camper’s schedule, packing list, and any required field trip waivers.
