Lifetime leadership skills development!

The Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.) Program at Camp Sonshine (available at our Germantown location) equips teens with important leadership/life skills such as: Teamwork, Responsibility, Communication, Problem Solving and Community Service. These vital leadership skills are taught in a safe, fun and challenging group environment. Teens get hands-on experience working with kids alongside trained counselors. C.I.T. campers help maintain group control, create a safe environment for campers and assist in day-to-day activities. C.I.T. campers also get to participate in one-on-one mentoring.

Requirement(s)

NOTE: Our C.I.T. program is an approved Student Service Learning Hours program. Participants can earn up to 35 SSL hours per week.

“Both my kids went to Camp Sonshine for many years. One continued on as a counselor in training. She loved it so much she did camp one session and work another! The staff is more dedicated than many of your other local camps. They truly want to be there encouraging your kids!”
